Why We Built It

The original Nomad was built because we were fed up with camping chairs that seemed to fall into two camps: cheap chairs that didn't last, or expensive ones that made you wonder quite how a camping chair had become that expensive.

So we built the Nomad our way.

Strong frame. Reinforced seat. Proper load capacity. Anti-sink feet. And a MOLLE carry bag that makes sense when you're actually travelling with the thing.

But there are times when you want a little more.

A quick brew at the side of the trail is one thing. A couple of hours around the fire, watching the sun go down or putting the world to rights is another.

That's where the Nomad HB came from.

We took what worked about the Nomad and gave it a taller back and headrest so you can actually lean back, switch off and stay there for a while.

Because sometimes the best part of an adventure is doing absolutely nothing.

Designed This Way

The brief wasn't to reinvent the Nomad.

It was to make it more comfortable without losing the things that made the original useful in the first place.

The extended back gives support through the shoulders and head, while mesh panels help airflow when the weather warms up. A removable headrest gives somewhere to properly rest your head rather than balancing it against the top of the chair.

Underneath, we've kept the same thinking as the original Nomad: a strong frame, reinforced fabric and proper feet designed for use outside rather than on a showroom floor.

And when it's time to move on, it packs down into a carry bag designed to strap to the rest of your kit.

More chair when it's open. Still a camping chair when it's packed.

That last line feels particularly ADV to me.

Built for Real Adventures

The Nomad HB isn't an ultralight stool pretending to be comfortable.

It's for the nights when camp becomes home for a few hours.

Cooking dinner outside the Lavvu. Sitting around a fire. A weekend campsite. A festival. Fishing. Watching racing from the side of a field. Or simply finding somewhere with a decent view and deciding you're not going anywhere for a while.

You carry a chair because you want somewhere comfortable to sit.

We think it should actually be comfortable.

The Details

For the specification section, I'd keep this factual and let the numbers do the work.

High-back design
Extra support through the back and shoulders.

Removable headrest
Proper head and neck support when you want to lean back.

150kg load capacity
Built for real-world Adventurers, not just lightweight catalogue models.

Reinforced construction
Strong frame and reinforced fabric at the areas that take the load.

Breathable mesh panels
Improved airflow through the sides of the chair.

Anti-sink feet
Included as standard because campsites aren't made from concrete.

MOLLE carry bag
Designed to attach securely to panniers, duffels and the rest of your kit.

We should confirm the packed dimensions, chair dimensions, weight, materials and whether the HB uses the same 340° MOLLE bag arrangement as the standard Nomad before adding those rather than assuming them.
