You're Probably Carrying More Air Than Adventure

Packing for a trip always starts with good intentions.

Lay everything out.

Take only what you need.

Keep it simple.

Then reality takes over.

An extra fleece because the forecast has changed.

A warmer sleeping bag because the nights might be colder than expected.

A spare set of clothes.

Before long, the luggage is full, the panniers won't quite close and you're wondering what has to stay behind.

The strange thing is that, most of the time, it isn't the equipment that's taking up all the room.

It's the air inside it.

Sleeping bags.

Insulated jackets.

Fleeces.

Clothing.

They all contain air by design. That's what gives them warmth and comfort.

The downside is that they also take up valuable packing space.

For years we've accepted that compromise.

You either carry less kit or you carry bigger luggage.

But what if there was another option?

What if you could simply carry less air?

That question became the starting point for Seahka.

Not because we wanted to invent another piece of equipment, but because we wanted to solve a problem every Adventurer eventually faces.

Running out of space.

Whether you're travelling by motorcycle, packing a campervan, heading off in a 4x4 or simply organising the boot of your car, space is always limited.

Making better use of it means carrying what matters without needing to carry larger bags.

To achieve that, Seahka couldn't be built like a traditional dry bag.

Most waterproof roll-top bags are made from thick PVC-based materials designed to withstand heavy abrasion. They're excellent for many jobs, but they're heavier and don't lend themselves to an airtight compression system.

Instead, Seahka uses a lightweight 0.17mm Polyester + PE laminated material. It's waterproof, airtight and significantly lighter than a conventional dry bag while remaining durable enough for repeated use on real adventures.

The material was chosen because it allows Seahka to do two jobs.

Protect your gear from the weather.

And remove the air trapped inside bulky soft equipment.

Together, they create something every Adventurer wishes they had a little more of.

Space.

Not because we believe people should pack more.

But because we'd rather see people take the gear they actually need than leave it behind because it simply wouldn't fit.

Sometimes, the best piece of equipment isn't the one that carries more.

It's the one that helps you make better use of what you already have.

That's the idea behind Seahka.
