Why We Built It

We didn't invent the adjustable stretch strap.

It's a simple idea that already works extremely well.

Loop it around your luggage, tension it and get on with the journey.

But when we looked at the straps we were using, we wanted something a little more substantial for the way we travel.

So rather than trying to reinvent a good idea, we refined it.

We increased the strap width to 27mm, allowing us to use a larger quick-release buckle and giving the strap a more heavy-duty construction.

We added reflective stitching into the elasticated section.

We used high-tenacity polyester webbing.

And we kept the simple loop-through attachment at both ends because hooks, ratchets and unnecessary hardware weren't going to make it better.

The result became the ADV 1500.

A simple, dependable pair of stretch straps designed to secure your gear and let you stop thinking about it.

Designed This Way

The ADV 1500 uses two different sections because they each have a different job.

The elasticated section uses a rubber core covered by a polyester weave. This provides controlled stretch to maintain tension as luggage moves and settles during a journey.

Reflective stitching is woven into this section to add visibility in low-light conditions.

The non-stretch section uses 100% high-tenacity polyester yarn, providing the strength and adjustment needed to secure different loads.

A quick-release nylon buckle sits between the two, making the strap easy to tension, release and reuse.

At either end we've kept things simple.

No metal hooks.

No complicated ratchets.

Just loop-through attachment points simply wrap around suitable racks, frames and luggage points.

35cm to 1.5 Metres

Luggage changes from one adventure to the next.

Sometimes you're securing a small roll bag.

Other times it's camping equipment, a duffel or several pieces of kit together.

The ADV 1500 adjusts from approximately 35cm to 1.5 metres, giving one pair of straps enough flexibility for a wide range of loads.

And because they're sold as a pair, you've got two secure attachment points straight out of the pack.

We originally wanted these for motorcycle luggage, but a good strap doesn't particularly care how you're travelling.

Use them to secure a dry bag to a motorcycle.

Hold camping equipment onto a rack.

Keep kit together in a 4x4.

Or simply keep a pair in the garage for those moments when something needs strapping down.

Factory testing states a maximum load of 100kg. ADV does not currently publish a working load rating while independent verification is completed. It will also differ with torsional force, use your common sense.

That's why we kept the idea simple and concentrated on making our version more substantial where it matters.
